Coming soon…

A while back I had the pleasure of working with Betsy from Belly Feathers Party Planning & Design on a collaborative shoot using party decorations from Party City, and tasty cookies from Tickled Pink Cookie Boutique.  Betsy always does a knockout job of coming up with the most creative and cutest decorations that are easy enough for even the busiest mom to pull together.  I love the tips and tricks she posts on her blog: http://www.bellyfeathersparty.blogspot.com/ and she is available to help in the party planning process too!  She also offers her party printables for sale on her Etsy page.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!  And let me just say that the cookies from Tickled Pink were the life of the party!  It took every last bit of willpower my little ghosts and goblins had to hold off on eating those cookies until the end of the shoot!  And they must have been extra tasty because they were gone before I got to try one!  I am definitely looking forward to ordering some for myself soon!!!

Hope everyone has a fantastic night of trick-or-treating and until next time – Best Witches!

Kim and Lance are such a great couple, so I wasn’t surprised when they put together an awesome wedding with beautiful colors, lots of fun details, and an emphasis on family and fun!  First a few of the details:

And then the first look!  I always love when couples decide to do a first look – it’s always so exciting for the couple to see each other and be able to have a few moments together before all the wedding day frenzy begins 🙂

They had such a great reception – so many friends and loved ones there to help them celebrate!

Congratulations Kim and Lance!  So many fun photos from your wedding!!! Can’t wait to share them with you soon!  Thanks so much for allowing me to photograph these memories for you 🙂

I absolutely LOVE seeing babies on my baby plan grow over the first year.  Or should I say, I love seeing them grow Up, up, up!  Haha 🙂  For this little guy’s one year session, his mom had seen some hot air balloon photos that she liked, so we decided to do our own take on it and I think it made for such fun photos!  Great idea, mom!

We had also done some newborn photos using the gray suitcase seen below, so I thought it would be fun to use it again just to show how much bigger he is now a whole year later.  Check out those blue eyes!  What a cutie!

We also did a little cake smash since it was his first birthday.  He wasn’t much into that, but he really enjoyed the little washtub I brought along to clean up afterwards!  He was so funny – he kept yelling and laughing.  His mom said he does it at home in the tub too – hilarious!

This was such a fun session, with such a fun little guy!  I have really enjoyed getting to know him and his family over the past year – thanks so much D family!!!!  Hope to work with you all again soon 🙂

It’s back-to-school time, and education is one of those things that’s really important to me.  I really believe we need to invest in our children’s education and I would love to help however I can.  So… for my next Beginning DSLR Photography Class, I will be donating $50 for each person enrolled to the local Huntsville/Madison PTA of your choice.  You get to come to my Beginning DSLR Photography Class, and raise some money for your school at the same time! Here’s the info:

Class Date: Saturday, Sept. 15th
Class Time: 12:30pm-5pm
Class Location:  Village of Providence, Huntsville, AL
Class Cost: $125, payable via cash, check or credit card

And for this September Class Only, when you pay your session fee, I will write a check to your school’s PTA for $50. It’s that simple – It’s really important to me to give back to the community that I live in, and I would love to support our local schools. If you are interested in photography and have been wanting to take a photography class anyway, why not sign up and raise some money for your school? Take the class with some of your friends, and raise even more money! For this class, I have a space available that will hold around 20 students so contact me today to sign up! Email me at clickphotodesigns@gmail.com!

Happy back-to-school all!

I saw this contest for Chic Critique’s Photography Idol contest and thought it would be fun to enter – plus they have some really great prizes.  The hard part was picking just one photo that I think best describes my photography…  When I think about what I really love about photography though, it’s definitely emotions – the real emotions and moments that we as photographers are able to capture and preserve for generations to come.  Whether it’s the innocence of a sweet baby or the belly laughs of a toddler, an engaged couple truly in love, or a family’s lasting joy, it always comes back to the emotion for me.  I feel like this photo that I chose just really captures a true and pure joy between this couple, and that’s what I always want my photos to convey.  So here’s my entry to the Chic Critique Photography Idol contest – wish me luck!  🙂
